And now for something slightly different…

Those of you who keep up with the blog regularly may have noticed that posting has been somewhat erratic lately. This is not because I don’t want to write. On the contrary, it’s because I’ve been writing so much — and it just doesn’t make sense for me to prioritize this blog over my fiction.

That being said, I do want to keep writing here. I want this to continue to be a place for you all to come and enjoy some quality content — for free! — as well as a place for me to share things that wouldn’t make sense to share elsewhere, and connect with you all on a deeper level.

I also have some changes I’d like to make — the site’s new look is just the beginning. I’m considering new directions for blog content, and I’m hoping to be able to put more into the newsletter, to better honor the time and attention my subscribers are graciously offering me each time they open one of my emails. I’m also wondering if there isn’t more I can do with my socials — especially these days, living in a country that is constantly testing my courage, my patience, and my will to keep going. I know I’m far from the only one who feels this way.

But first, I need some time, some space, and definitely some rest.

So I’m taking a break from the blog (officially, this time) as well as social media starting in July. I’m hoping to use the time I’ll get back for some much-needed planning and reorganizing, and hopefully, to catch up where I’ve fallen behind and get ahead where I have not. I don’t expect to start posting again until August; if that changes, you all will be the first to know.

Until then, thank you all for joining me on this journey thus far. A comment here, a like there, the occasional share — it all means more than you know. Words fail to express how much I appreciate your support, your generosity, and your patience. I look forward to our future adventures together… after I take a nice, big nap. 🙂
